We are “fall official” now, so bring on the sweater weather and the warm neutral decor! I usually break down and buy a few mums before the official start of fall, but I wait to get out my interior fall decorations until at least mid September. Like my staging approach, I keep it pretty simple. It is amazing how adding just a few touches of fall can really transform the look and feel of your home spaces. Last weekend I swapped out my summer greens for my more neutral colored stems and it instantly added the feel of fall to each room. Current trending stems include eucalyptus, oak, and aspens in bleached, golden and amber hues that look gorgeous in any earth toned vase. This fall we are still seeing the neutral palette all throughout the home stores. I, for one, am thankful for this because I am still loving the neutral trend! Decorating for fall doesn’t have to be all pumpkins and fake leaves! You can quickly transition to fall and add some warmth and texture with a swap of throw pillows and blankets in any room. Bringing in candles in autumnal colors and scents also helps to celebrate the season. While sticking with the neutral trend, white pumpkins, sheafs of wheat, terra cotta vases, and warm wood accents all create the perfect indoor setting for the crisp, cool days and nights ahead.
